The Name Abukhadra
One of our brothers in Twin Cities, the late Br. Najati
Abukhadra, very generously purchased the Masjid in 1976
and donated it to the Muslim community. There is a plaque at the main
entrance of the Masjid which recognizes this donation. May Allah reward late
Br. Abukhadra for his generosity and shower His
blessings on his soul. Amen.
Although not formally named, the Masjid took on the name of
Columbia Heights Masjid. Thirty plus years after the initial purchase, Islamic Center of
Minnesota’s Board and Council unanimously decided to recognize the late Br.
Abukhadra’s generosity and named this facility as:
